The UEFA Supervisory Board is quite satisfied with the ongoing analysis process of preparing our country for the continental championship
Tuesday, November 24, the information center "Ukraine 2012", established on the basis of the agency Ukrinform, held a joint press conference of President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Grigory Surkis and Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasyunyk. The theme of their conversations with journalists was the outcome of the meeting of the Supervisory Board UEFA in Nyuone (23 November), as well as the approach of the Executive Committee of the European Football Union in the Portuguese Madeira (December 11-12), which ultimately determined by the host cities for Euro 2012.
According to the head of FFU, the current analysis of the process of preparing our country for the continental championship, submitted by the Ukrainian delegation to the Supervisory Board, fully satisfies the requirements of UEFA. "We therefore hope that on December 11 at its meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Football Union will provide all four of our competing cities parity with Poland the right to conduct matches of the tournament", - he stressed.
According to the head of the Football Federation of Ukraine, and after 11 December we must each day to demonstrate our ability to implement the project Euro-2012. Already on December 14 at St. Michael's Square in Kiev will be held a presentation of new logo of European Championship. Grigory Surkis noted that this event, for which personally will be watching the president of UEFA, as well as over 200 representatives of international media, is extremely important, because in fact it gives the start to the tournament itself.
Step towards tournament
"It should also be recalled that on 7 February in Warsaw will be the draw for Euro-2012 qualification, which is a step closer to both our countries for the championship. I assure you that the National Football Federation, the Ukrainian government and regional authorities will do everything necessary in order not to disappoint the society and UEFA ", - said Grigory Surkis.
